LAN Party Games

We are planning a LAN Party on saturday and we are thinking about the games, we want to play.

Now I want to hear from you all, what are your favorite LAN games. And which ones are the most easiest games for LAN sessions?
I think the most important facts for a LAN party are these:

- Easy and fast installation
- No huge patch downloads (like after installing WOW)
- Easy creating of a multiplayer game
- Multiplayer mode up to more than 8 people
- the game should be easy to play, so that you don't need practice before
- it shouldn't be the newest technology, so that also older laptops can handle the game

So please, give us your advice, what we should play!

Well was i surprised to see this news up!
Well as i said, my alltime favorite has got to be BF 1942! It was just amazing back then, flying around together in one play, in a truck, or a tank!

Ut brings back los of memories too... lets play part one!!
oh i've got more ideas coming up.
What about AvP 1 or 2, Farcry oh and don't forget Need For Speed 3 ;)

Well that's really bad news, i was so excited to shoot your butt in UT, BF1942 and Left 4 Dead (even though it's coop) HA!
